Embedded Software Presales Solution Architect- Semi Conductor/ Defense/Aerospace Industry

Location: West Coast Preferrably Semi Conductor experience or East Coast Preferably Defense/Aerospace

US Citizenship Required

Industry Experience: Semi-Conductor Playground, a plus if you have technical experienced in Defense, Aero, Space, Auto, Smart Grid domains.

Travel: 20-50%

As a Solutions Architect you will think, define, and design our client solutions based on Capgemini service capabilities and assets and develop Capgemini s business worldwide.

The candidate will be part of a distributed team and collaborate closely with other engineering and business units within the Capgemini Group.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the global Capgemini team to define and architect complex solutions for clients, considering ecosystem value chain, business cases, functional, technical understanding of the targeted topic.
  • Help clients stay ahead of leading-edge technology changes, provide on-site consulting work to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients engineering leaders to ensure the right architecture and technology choices are made from the start, implement the next generation processes and engineering practices, troubleshoot and solve urgent engineering issues when internal teams require specialists to immediately find solutions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional communities.

Sales Engineering

  • Collaborate with business development teams to understand client s requirements and provide sales support.
  • Participate in sales meetings as a technical expert, provide services technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepare and lead technical workshops for clients to convey the superior solution provided by Capgemini.
  • Create unique content for new case studies, service offerings and micro-verticals together with technical, business and marketing leaders within the company.
  • Be involved in opportunity preparations.
  • Define the appropriate solutions based on Capgemini service capabilities and assets.
  • Serve as the main collaboration point for engineering to define the right solution for a client.
  • Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range risks that must be addressed, recommend options and courses of action, implement a mitigation plan.

Thought leadership and in-direct market engagement.

  • Work closely with marketing and engineering to create innovative content such as blog posts, white papers to drive thought leadership for the business unit.
  • Produce technical collateral for multiple channels of communications with a focus on website and social media.
  • Develop marketing materials consistent with the Company image and market position.
  • Coordinate and contribute to content editorial together with peers in the company.
  • Contribute actively to social media channels (Web, LinkedIn, and Twitter) as a technical ambassador.

What you ll have:

  • 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 year in a relevant role (Lead Embedded architect, Solutions Architect, Technology Lead Consultant, , Developer Advocate, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written) to explain complex technical topics in an easily digestible manner.
  • Expert in modern Embedded architectures from embedded to cloud, technical strategy CI/CD for embedded software, etc.
  • At least 5+ years hands-on engineering experience in semi-conductor playground, and if possible having technical experienced in Defense, Aero, Space, Auto, Smart Grid domains.
  • Willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well in the fast-paced environment.
  • Experience from a fast-paced start-up or growth company is highly desirable.
  • Intellectually curious and driven by results.
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field.
  • This role requires US Citizenship.

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency

obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we

would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the

disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the

wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to,

geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority,

performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is

not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary

range for the tagged location is $179,000-$268,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission.

Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and

any other benefits to eligible employees.

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested,

and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of

compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion

unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
