Job ID: 24-01500Licensed Surgical Technician - PlasticsHerndon VAMUST:Surgical Technician must have the following:3 years of experience as a Surgical TechnicianSurgical Tech certificationThorough working knowledge of aseptic techniqueAbility to pass instruments and sterile supplies to physiciansAbility to suture incisionsApply dressingsClean and stock roomsAbility to arrange surgical supplies and instrumentsKnowledge and administration of medicationsBLS certificationMust be certifiedDUTIES:Duties of the Surgical Tech include but are not limited to the following:Passing of instruments and sterile supplies to physicians and keeping accurate count of the instrumentsAssisting surgical team to dress for surgerySuturing incisions made by surgeonApplying dressings and appropriate garments to surgical sitesPreparing and preserving specimens obtained during surgery and completing appropriate paperwork for these specimensOperation of the lights, suction machines and other equipment as needed during surgeryTransporting the patient to their support person's carCleaning and restocking the operating room for the next surgeryKeeping accurate measurements of all tissue/fat removed from the patient during surgeryKeeping an accurate record of the amount of local anesthetic injected into the patient during surgeryAccurately close out invoice as procedures are completedAssisting the Material Manager on an as needed basisResponsible for the inventory and notifying correct personal for ordering*Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
