We are currently assisting our client, a publicly traded industry leader, with a Materials Manager search located outside Little Rock, AR. The Materials Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing manufacturing materials strategy to ensure the achievement of plant goals. This position will be responsible for production planning, inventory control, and logistics in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage aspects of supply chain management to include: production planning, master scheduling, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics
- Partner closely with Purchasing and Production department to ensure efficient material movement
- Ensure inventory levels are at optimum levels
- Forecast material needs while maximizing the utilization of the current inventory
- Determine the best course of action to improve distribution efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years Materials Management experience
- SAP experience
- Proven success in large, 24/7 manufacturing operations
