Job Details
Sets up and opertes machine shop tools. Manufuctures precision parts, fits and assembles parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanism tools or machines.
Must have knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures.
Studies and understand specifications, such as blue prints, sketches or descriptions. Plans sequence of operations tto achieve finished product.
Sets up and operates lathes, mills, drills presses, planers, or grinders to machine parts to specifications, using measuring instructments.
Verifies dimensions and alignment, including making sketches that reflect size and configuration with precison measuring instruments.
Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.
Must have 5+ years of knowledge and experience as a Inside Machinist.
Must have Shipyard experience.
Must have own trade tools.
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to pass a drug and background screening.
Must have reliable transportation and be available for all shifts.
Must have OSHA 10 Maritime Training
