Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred) or related field; advanced degree (MBA, Masters, or PhD) is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of related experience, including 3 years managing engineering projects.
Deep knowledge of electric transmission systems, planning processes, and industry standards (NERC, FERC).
Extensive experience in transmission system studies and proficiency in industry software (PSS/E, PSLF, etc.).
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Familiarity with power regions and system operators (PJM, MISO, NEISO, etc.).
General business and financial calculation knowledge.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Professional Registration preferred.
Responsibilities:
Lead transmission planning assignments, resolving technical issues during projects.
Conduct sales and marketing activities, identifying new opportunities, and executing projects.
Manage all aspects of projects from business development to financial performance.
Support and lead training for team members.
Mentor less experienced staff and serve as an industry leader.
Develop and evaluate transmission planning plans for major electrical projects.
Interpret and apply NERC, FERC, and regional assessments.
Lead risk assessment processes and procedures.
Negotiate service agreements with clients.
Perform other duties as assigned.
