What You Will Do:


As the Plant Manager, you will manage the operations for the plant including production, scheduling, warehousing, maintenance, and facilities to ensure OCE (on-time, complete, and error-free) goals are attained within budget and resource guidelines.

What You Will Accomplish:


  • Leads and managers production and scheduling, following customer expectations, to ensure on-time, complete, and error-free shipments.
  • Manages and controls the related costs of operations to ensure budget goals are attained.
  • Creates and encourages Lean-thinking and 5S initiatives within the facility to continually enhance quality, output, and delivery times.
  • Manages the safety and maintenance of the facility and equipment initiating Capital Expense requests where applicable to ensure production and quality goals are met.
  • Leads, mentors, and develops team members to continually grow competencies within the facility while creating a collaborative work environment to retain top talent.
  • Interfaces with customers, Customer Service, and vendors to ensure smooth processes for all parties.
  • Manages and maintains inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory of production supplies and materials are available to meet production goals.


Position Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or other related field; Will consider combination of coursework and experience
  • Experience:7+ years of progressive leadership/supervisory experience within a Manufacturing Environment Lean or Six Sigma certifications highly preferred, but not required
  • Functional Skills: Exceptional experience in budgeting, planning, and production scheduling; previous experience with Quality Management Systems; Exceptional background in developing, implementing, and executing strategies to enhance production operations; strong understanding of the complete supply chain process; Excellent understanding of safety/OSHA regulations; Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized; demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, and grow team members; strong people-management experience
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office; Previous experience with ERP systems
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Other Important Information:


Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.


Reports To: Unit General Manager


Core Hours: 7:00am-6:00pm (schedule can be somewhat flexible within this timeframe; 8-9 hours/day on average)


Typical Work Week: M-F; occasional weekend hours; 45 hours a week on average


Direct Reports: 5 direct reports and 75 indirect


Work Conditions: Primarily an office and manufacturing environment


Travel: Limited
