Second Shift Forklift Operator Summary:
The second shift forklift operator is responsible for operating a forklift in a safe manner, moving finished goods, raw materials, and following all quality and safety procedures. The forklift operator will ensure that material and products will always be at the right space to achieve maximum efficiency. Forklift operator will report to Warehouse Supervisor.
Second Shift Forklift Operator Requirements:
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred
- Minimum one year experience driving and operating forklift both sit down, stand up and pallet jack
- Must demonstrate safe use of a forklift and understand safety measures using a forklift
- Forklift operator must be able to raise the lift in a safe manner, loading and unloading successfully
- Experience using hand scanners and tracking
- Experience stacking pallets in a racking system
- Experience loading and unloading pallets of material on and off trucks
- Pick orders, identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Must have predictable and strong attendance
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs on occasion
- Must be able to work weekends
Second Shift Forklift Operator Pay and Perks: - Starting pay $19.06/hour with room for advancement
- Hours: 5:30pm.- 2:30am. with availability every other weekend and ability to work overtime with varying days of the week. Employees can be eligible for a shift differential and weekend premium based on hours worked

Second Shift Forklift Operator Responsibilities: - Follow all GMPs and proper PPE requirements at all times while operating forklift
- Follow operating procedures in order to reduce shipping errors using hand scanners
- Load and unload trucks
- Move finished goods and raw materials using double forks
- Use handheld scanners to scan materials while working closely with other forklift operators
- Using WMS, pick orders in a timely manner and report any discrepancies to supervisors
- Ensure paperwork is completed on time with zero mistakes
- Ensure FIFO is used at all times
- Previous forklift experience is a must with proven successful track record
- Ensure all work meets company environmental goals
- Performs duties per Pompeian's mission, goals and core values
- All other duties and tasks assigned
