We have recently engaged with one of the nation's premier health systems on a confidential multi-hire campaign as they work to build out a new branch of their legal team. This team will consist of 10 Senior Attorneys that will support the build-out of a Physician Services department for the organization. Each Attorney will be responsible for managing Physician contracts, advising on regulatory matters pertaining to the Physician Services department and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a premier health system, support the growth of a brand-new branch of the legal department and work alongside skilled and tenured legal advisories in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Review, approve, and manage physician and other contracts.
- Provide legal counsel to Physician Services regarding regulatory matters and operational queries.
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with relevant laws, company policies, and procedures.
- Aid in developing internal policies, procedures, and forms.
- Collaborate with and support colleagues in the Legal Department.
- Partner closely with the Physician Services leadership.
Requirements of the role:
- 10+ years of legal experience within a health care system or hospital setting working on:
- Supporting Hospital or Healthcare System Operations
- Advising on Stark Law, Anti-Kickback and Fraud and Abuse Laws as well as HIPAA and Privacy Laws
- Physician Employment Agreements
- Juris Doctor from Accredited Law School and Active member of at least one State bar.
- Ability to waive into Tennessee bar.
This role is offering a Hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. This company will cover the cost in full of relocation if necessary.
