Our client was founded in 2018 to provide in-house engineering services to several affiliated national builder/developers for residential, commercial retail, office, and multi-family developments in various markets across the country.
This is an exciting "ground-floor" opportunity to join the company as they hit the accelerator on their growth and expansion. After successfully opening 5 markets in 5 years, Arizona is their 6th and newest division (opened in early 2024).

What you ll do as the Civil Project Engineer:
- Responsible for the preparation / coordination of all technical activities on assigned land development projects.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work; monitor work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices and standards; and ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project consultants.
- Act as the main point of contract in the day-to-day interaction with the client s designated representative and jurisdictional agency personnel, as well as the team lead for all internal activities performed by the project team.
Responsibilities of the Civil Project Engineer:
- Assist in management of a project team consisting of E.I.T. s, CAD Designers and Technicians, Sub-consultants, and Contractors to successfully complete projects.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the financial and technical aspects of residential land development projects.
- Assist in the coordination of Construction Phase Services including site visits, bid documents, submittal reviews and pay applications.
- Identify, interpret, and resolve technical project issues with minimal oversight.
- Analyze, interpret, and stay abreast of the latest regulations and criteria for local, state, and federal agencies.
What you ll need to be a Civil Project Engineer:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET accredited college or university
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience related to land development projects
- Must have experience with Civil 3D
- Registered and active P.E., or ability to obtain P.E. license, in the state of employment
- Must exhibit strong management and leadership skills, with an aptitude to train and mentor E.I.T. s
- Experience with residential projects (single-family and multi-family communities) is highly preferred
