Job Description
This position reports to the Plant Foreman and is responsible for safe and productive operation of all plant and mobile machinery to facilitate production. The hours are 6am - 6pm, 4 days a week.
Specific Responsibilities
- Operating mobile equipment as required for assigned tasks (forklift, loader, extend boom, semi-truck).
- Operation of bulk bagger, capping & wrapping bags, staging product in designated areas.
- Plant and yard clean-up as needed to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Repair of pallets and bags as needed.
- Reporting any manufacturing incidents to the lead/supervisor.
- Perform daily machinery and equipment inspections.
- Following the lead /supervisor directions and instructions in all tasks to ensure that SAFETY goals and production goals and demands are met.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Experience/Education:
- Production experience preferred.
- Equipment experience (loaders, forklifts) preferred but not required.
- Must maintain good attendance, available for overtime and extra shifts as needed.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
