Position Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Mt. Juliet, TN
Summary: Direct the day-to-day functions of Powerex Operations by supervising, directing, and motivating staff. Organize and monitor workflow to ensure all efficiency and quality goals are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job results, coach, counsel, and/or discipline employees, initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures to accomplish operational staff results.
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities.
- Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplish work results, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report operational results.
- Maintain product quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Provide operational information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
- Identify errors with manufacturing routers, bills of material, and/or assembly drawings.
- Identify and implement cost reductions, develop reporting procedures and systems, facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points, initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Establish and maintain a close and productive working relationship with other departments and exhibit good cooperation and support of the cross-functional team.
Qualifications Requirements:

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of 30 people.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills of daily operations including identification, analysis, resolution, and/or long-term planning issues.
- Knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly responsible for approximately 30 employees.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in operations, Management, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of management experience will be accepted.
- Supervisory experience.
- Willing to work additional hours, including Saturdays.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and customers.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the position.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Ability to resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Physical Demands:
- Talk or hear frequently.
- Sit frequently; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Stand and walk frequently: stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally travel (approx. 5-10% of the time
Work Environment:
- Spend about half of time in a plant environment and half in an office environment.
- Both environments are well-lit, clean, with normal/low noise levels (less than 85dbc).
