BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Specimen Accessioner to work for a leading Orange County Biotechnical company.
Purpose of Position
You will play a vital part by actively contributing to accurate data entry and collaboration with clinics and hospitals, showcasing your skills in meticulous task execution. Your efforts will guarantee the delivery of top-notch results for customers passionate about infectious disease testing for all animals.
Salary: $20-22/hr.
On-Site Role
Responsibilities:
- Data entry: enter specimen information into laboratory information system (LIS).
- Resolve and document any problem specimens
- Completes all paperwork required to process and submit specimens.
- Coordinate with clinics, hospitals, etc. for sample submission process
- Follows standard sequences/coding when entering data and corrects, edits, and/or verifies data.
- Package and ship orders of sample collection supplies for MiDOG customers, record sample IDs and tracking information in the laboratory information system.
- Ideally the candidate would be open to laboratory work as well, involving a lysis step of animal blood samples.
Experience:
- High School Diploma required, Associate Degree is a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in laboratory accessioning is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Previous experience in a medical office or diagnostic laboratory is preferred
