**Job Summary**
Perform all tasks involved in the material handling of product. Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within UPG Noblesville. Follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure process is as efficient and safe as possible
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
* Assist in receiving, shipping, unloading/loading trucks.
* Capable and certified to drive a sit down fork truck.
* Read work orders/pick tickets to determine items to be distributed, moved and/or shipped.
* Moving materials and items from receiving area to shipping or to other designated areas.
* Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, and part number.
* Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for material, and other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated areas.
* Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for employee/customer traffic.
* Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area for shipment.
* Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
* Opening boxes, crates, containers.
* Record amounts of material or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. SAP.
* Aptitude for attention to detail.
* Organizing warehouse and work area for safety and orderliness at all times.
* Ability to frequently lift up to 35lbs. Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally.
* Notify Plant Manager or Production Assistant of any quality issues.
* Perform other tasks as assigned.
**Education and Experience Profile**
This position will be required to perform math skills that include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping and receiving documents.
**Required Skills**
* Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
* Ability to enter information into the production system (SAP).
**Work Environment**
* Work performed in a factory manufacturing setting.
* Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes.
* Required to stand, bend, reach and move about facilities.
