Translators for Disaster Response
JTG is currently seeking professional translators from English into the following languages for an urgent contract:
Chamorro | Samoan | Tongan
Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
* Provide accurate translation of public service announcements (PSAs) about emergencies and disasters
* Provide voice-over recording for selected languages
* Communicate fluently in English orally and in writing
* Translate in accordance with designated style and quality standards
* Use domain-specific terminology
Requirements:
* U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
* Residence in the United States
* Experience as a professional translator
* Proficiency in MS Office applications
Preferred qualifications:
* Translation or interpreting certification
* Translation or interpreting training
* Experience as a writer, editor, journalist, or language instructor
Reports to Project Manager.
