Design Drafter


Job Details

Airswift is working in partnership with a global leader in air quality and fluid handling solutions, which is currently looking to hire a Drafter.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Examines project requirements and design details to ensure adequacy for fulfilling the design concept.
  • Collaborates on generating engineering documents and calculations utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, and Vault.
  • Coordinates with Project Managers and Engineers to establish project milestones and deadlines.
  • Selects appropriate methods for drafting, including customized CAD templates or updating existing files.
  • Analyzes various data sources to plan and design projects effectively.
  • Executes the drawing process in accordance with project scopes and quality standards.
  • Conducts quality reviews and makes necessary corrections to drawings.
  • Ensures alignment of drawings with project scopes and corporate drafting standards.
  • Assists in the preparation of project work scopes and estimates.
  • Undertakes similar duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Recent (within 6 months) experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
  • Prior experience designing large cyclones or large ASME pressure vessels
  • Holds an associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3-5 years of experience; or 8 years of demonstrated
  • Relevant experience in a mechanical engineering field
  • Willingness to work onsite in Houston


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience using ANSYS
  • Experience using COMPRESS
