Airswift is working in partnership with a global leader in air quality and fluid handling solutions, which is currently looking to hire a Drafter.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Examines project requirements and design details to ensure adequacy for fulfilling the design concept.
- Collaborates on generating engineering documents and calculations utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, and Vault.
- Coordinates with Project Managers and Engineers to establish project milestones and deadlines.
- Selects appropriate methods for drafting, including customized CAD templates or updating existing files.
- Analyzes various data sources to plan and design projects effectively.
- Executes the drawing process in accordance with project scopes and quality standards.
- Conducts quality reviews and makes necessary corrections to drawings.
- Ensures alignment of drawings with project scopes and corporate drafting standards.
- Assists in the preparation of project work scopes and estimates.
- Undertakes similar duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Recent (within 6 months) experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Prior experience designing large cyclones or large ASME pressure vessels
- Holds an associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3-5 years of experience; or 8 years of demonstrated
- Relevant experience in a mechanical engineering field
- Willingness to work onsite in Houston
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using ANSYS
- Experience using COMPRESS
