2024 Tri-State Trek Production Assistant Program

ALS Therapy Development Institute is hiring Tri-State Trek production assistants to support our annual bike ride fundraiser to end ALS (Lou Gehrig s Disease). This unique opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact on a large-scale event happening in the ALS community. Candidates with experience or interest in event planning, catering and/or athletic events are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Warehouse and Off-site Duties

  • Organize and clean all equipment and supplies
  • Audit inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Clean and neatly put away all equipment post event
  • Drive entire route and put-up arrow markers with a team of production assistants
  • Picking up donated products and rental vehicles
  • In office preparations: Assembling rider packets, rolling t-shirts, shipping packages, etc.

Day of Event Duties

  • Setting up and breaking down tents, tables, hanging banners, signs, etc.
  • Carry and move water, ice, food & beverages and other supplies or equipment
  • Driving route and checking arrows are correct before riders are on the course
  • Execute any other duties assigned

Schedule (Hours may vary - Generally hours range from 10am to 4pm except for the 2 working weekends with the hours being much longer)

  • June 3-6: Warehouse organizing/inventory
  • June 10-15: Warehouse, off-site duties, and one working weekend driving the route and putting up arrow markers (overnight accommodations included for the weekend)
  • June 17-18: Picking up rental vehicles & packing the vans
  • June 19: Day off for the holiday
  • June 20-25: Plan, prep, set-up and break down the event duties may vary as needed (Includes one working weekend overnight accommodations & meals included)

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Highly collaborative, flexible, team player, positive and can-do attitude
  • Understand the high level of performance required to make a large-scale event successful
  • Be resourceful problem solvers and being able to work under high pressure situations
  • Be able to lift 35 lbs
  • Be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Valid driver s license
  • Be available to work/travel everyday (including weekdays and weekends)
