What You Will Do
- Draft and Manage Contracts: Be at the forefront of our land acquisition efforts by drafting and tracking land options, purchase contracts, and other ancillary agreements.
- Ordered, reviewed, and summarized title searches and land surveys, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Take charge of due diligence and closing processes for property acquisitions, including managing vendors and ensuring timely delivery of due diligence deliverables.
- Assist in drafting project-related contracts such as construction contracts, leases, and lien waivers.
- Maintain physically and electronically organized files for legal documents and correspondence.
- Assist in the management of other legal matters as required.
- Collaborate on various projects and duties as needed, contributing your expertise to diverse initiatives.
Ideal Candidates
- Possesses a bachelor's degree in business or paralegal studies (preferred).
- Has three to five years of practical experience in a commercial real estate setting, title company, or law firm.
- Is experienced in reviewing and cleaning up title reports, verifying legal descriptions, and ensuring survey accuracy.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
- Has a strong understanding of closing mechanics and due diligence processes.
- Has the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
