Connector Specialists, a Parker Hannifin Hydraulic/Pneumatic Technology Center, is currently in search of a shop fabricator. The ideal candidate will be an experienced fitter/welder that will have accountabilities for all, but not limited to the outlined responsibilities below:


Position Summary


At the Parker Hydraulic Technology Center, this role is primarily responsible for the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex hydraulic systems based on customer specifications and design requirements. Leveraging an understanding of hydraulic systems, the Systems Fabricator ensures that all components function seamlessly, and are up to the quality standards that our partners and customers expect. Collaboration with design engineers, technicians, and quality control teams is essential, as is the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and work instructions. The ideal candidate will possess both the technical expertise and problem-solving skills necessary to ensure our hydraulic solutions are second to none.


Shop Job Duties/Responsibilities

Fabricating, assembling, and testing hydraulic systems, ensuring each component meets the specified criteria.

Reading and interpreting technical documents, including schematics, blueprints, and work instructions, to ensure precise assembly.

Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to discuss potential improvements or modifications to hydraulic systems.

Troubleshooting any issues or malfunctions, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.

Staying updated on the latest techniques, tools, and technologies in the hydraulic domain to ensure our systems remain at the forefront of the industry.


Education/Experience


High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)


Skills/Abilities


Proficiency in MIG welding.

Strong skills in reading and understanding schematics.

Experience using measuring devices.

Knowledge of layout techniques.

Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic plumbing practices.

Competence in hose assembly, tube bending and assembly.

Ability to paint completed systems using spray equipment.

Familiarity with using a computer and performing basic functions.

Capability to use measurement tools such as measuring tape and calipers.

Forklift operation after provided training.

General mechanical knowledge desired.
