**Culinary and Food Services Attendant III (Multiple Positions)** **Location** Main Campus The Arizona Student Unions at the Global Center is looking for Dining Services Attendant, Seniors to join our team! This position will be located at the Global Center. This dining services position performs various duties necessary in the preparation of the service of food and provides quality customer service to students, faculty, staff and guests. Incumbent must be able to work weekends and nights.

This position works on an Academic schedule and will have summers off. Employee will work between August and May.

**Duties & Responsibilities** Food Preparation, Quality and Sanitation:

* Every morning checks all line items for expiration dates and writes expired items on Throw Away sheet

* Checks walk-ins for proper product rotation; First in First Out (FIFO)

* Prepares all recipes following recipe book

* Maintains fresh, high quality foods throughout the shift

* Batch cooks, sausage, bacon, eggs and chicken to ensure fresh product

* Maintains general cleaning in work areas and in the kitchen

* Communicates quality issues with supervisor

* Oversees on the job training, portion control, sanitation practices for employees while on shift

* Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

* Monitors and enforces that sanitation principles listed below are being executed by all employees at Global Dining Center

* Prevents cross contamination of food products

* Weigh, label and date all food items; store in designated areas

* Clean counters and work station, walls, shelves, drain screen and floor mats

* Wash all utensils and check to see that all utensils are properly stored

* Empty sanitizer and place trash bags in trash bin on wheels

* Must be able to occasionally transport/move a minimum of 50 pounds

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Knowledge of food service operations including sanitation standards and food preparation

* Knowledge of food service equipment, such as steamers, slicers and fryers

* Ability to communicate effectively

Physical Requirements:

* Frequently reaches, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries and pushes

* Often withstand large workload under high heat

* Often stands during entire shift

**Minimum Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent, OR equivalent learning attained through experience

* Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
