What youll get to do:


Support the Army Military Pay program to prepare and build others capacity to prepare a wide range of programmatic metrics and data visualizations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with functional, technical and program staff to communicate findings through dashboards, data visualizations, interactive charts, graphs and other tools to upper leadership in a clear way. He/she will identify the best opportunities to use data analysis, graphic design and/or programming expertise to depict software development, HR and financial data visually and accurately and in ways that are accessible, engaging, innovative, and relevant to target audiences. Our goal is to solve problems and inform decision-making through innovation, collaboration, and technical expertise.


More About the Role:


+ Collaborate with different departments, technical SMEs, and testers to solve problems and convey key messages using data visualization approaches, techniques, and methods


+ Develop intuitive, attractive, and interactive data visualizations using internal data for dashboards, reports, and presentations


+ Distill quantitative and qualitative data to communicate compelling stories to diverse audiences


+ Establish data visualization standards and explore new, cutting-edge tools to raise those standards periodically


+ Identify programmatic challenges and leading indicators to present the problems as well as solutions visually


+ Interprets requirements, performs highly complex analyses, and presents options and recommendations to obtain desired results


Youll Bring These Qualifications:


+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Information Systems or other technically relevant degree


+ Experience with creating complex analytic charts/graphs (in Excel/VBA); experience in integrations with open-source charting libraries a plus


+ Proven record of working collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership


+ Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and success working in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)


+ Proven record of working under minimal supervision in layouts, product support, devices, methods, or procedures


+ Proven record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple, dynamic priorities


+ Possess creative and adaptive thinking skills, be resourceful, and have a passion for conveying a wide range of information, including complex analytic findings, through polished and engaging reports and visuals


+ Strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills


+ Active or Interim a DoD Secret clearance.


+ Willing to obtain a SAFe Agilist certification within 90 days of starting


**These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:**


+ 1-3 years of graphics and visualization tools (using Excel/VBA or similar tools)


+ Strong understanding of colors and design psychology with some web/graphic design background


+ Proven record of successful implementation of all project lifecycle stages from requirements gathering through implementation and enhancements


+ Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases


+ Knowledge of Power BI


+ Experience solving data-driven analytical problems


+ Possess extensive knowledge of application modeling principles, concepts, and techniques


+ Active DoD Secret Clearance


+ SAFe Agilist certified.
