KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager based out of our warehouse in north Austin.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for successfully managing warehouse operations including staffing, logistics, safety, analytics with reporting, and customer collaboration. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all industry and organizational rules and regulations, while acting as a key contributor to KOMPAN s P/L, overall strategy, business execution, and culture.

What You ll Do
- Manage a staff consisting of full-time forklift operators and logistics coordinators
- Manage logistics partner relationships
- Communicate and coordinate timely material delivery with customers
- Facilitate the reduction of aging inventory with regular updates to the sales team on product types and quantities available
- Train, supervise, guide, develop, and inspire staff and monitor and evaluate performance
- Supervise the safe and efficient loading and unloading on all docks
- Regularly develop, schedule a deliver safety training to staff, ensuring compliance with all regulations
- Provide oversight to third-party external warehouses
- Book transportation from a hub to the sites across the US, Canada, and Mexico
- Arrange customs clearance for import to US and Canada
- Responsible for daily and direct impact on P/L
- Managing daily negotiations with freight carriers to determine cost-effective freight charges and types of transport vessels (flatbeds, enclosed trucks, short/long beds)
- Managing and negotiating parcel freight services and pricing for USPS, UPS, FedEx, and LTL carriers to control costs
- Efficiently managing carriers at the port to minimize or eliminate toll charges, drayage, and storage fees
- Monitor spare parts inventory to ensure SOs for all spare parts in internal and external warehouses and HUB facilities
- Track & Trace goods in transit and report goods damaged
- Prepare and analyze weekly reports on quick supply inventory, shipment status, freight damage reports, and other logistic reports required to ensure prompt delivery of equipment to project sites and sales inventory
- Apply JIT (Just in Time) logistic management strategy and coordinate reporting and communication between project managers, coordinators, and management
- Collaborate and partner extensively with all other internal and external customers on behalf of the Logistics Department
What You ll Need
- 5+ years of experience in related roles
- Experience managing a warehouse team
- Forklift certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
