Basic Job Functions:

The Outside Sales Representative for Geo is responsible for developing and executing a territory strategy, aligned with our Company Sales Strategy, for building a customer base and selling Geotechnical Products within Nucor Skyline. The position is directly accountable for growing profitable customer relationships to develop a steady flow of order inquiries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Building the sales funnel with profitable orders. Specific duties include:
o Project Lead Generation
o Quoting Nucor Skyline s geotechnical products
o Follow Up/Tracking quotations
o Negotiation and Closing deals
o Sourcing material
o Providing details and specifics about the order to allow for a clear understanding for execution by our Sales Service team.


Building and maintaining strong and effective long-term relationships with customers in the territory.
Ability to illustrate the value Nucor provides into business opportunities with a win-win service mindset.
Managing customer base and orders to create an optimum mix of sales volume, gross profit and market share.
Traveling regularly to interact with customer base and deepen relationships.
Coordinating with Business and Product Development teams to cultivate early design opportunities into preferential quoting opportunities.
Working together with Operations Team to ensure division strategy is being followed.
Actively engaging with industry associations.
Maintaining high visibility for Skyline Steel in the territory and provide ongoing market intelligence to the Regional Manager on market conditions, competition, and upcoming projects.
Position will require approx. 50% travel for new territory development.

Outside Sales Representatives are an integral part of the Nucor Skyline team. Successful candidates will bring a demonstrated track record of revenue growth, negotiation skills, and excellent in-person, verbal and written communication skills.
Requires an individual to be living in the state of New Jersey or New York.


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years sales experience in construction, engineering, steel industry or in similar sales role

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Sales Experience
Geotechnical Experience
Civil/Mechanical Engineering Degree
Construction Management Experience
Technical background in construction
