Our Ecoservices division is on the hunt for a Maintenance Manager to be based at our Hammond, IN plant.
- We are not offering full relocation or visa sponsorship for this role at this time.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the overall effectiveness of the mechanical and instrument/electrical maintenance functions. Utilize industry-leading metrics to track the effectiveness of these three areas.
- Responsible for the proper management of the Storeroom inventory.
- Submit & manage yearly departmental budgets.
- Provide long-term direction to the maintenance department.
- Assist in ensuring equipment reliability by following good maintenance practices in repairs, inspections, preventive & predictive maintenance, as well as following the appropriate standards for new equipment installation.
- Ensure all work is performed to comply with all applicable regulations (OSHA 1910.119, etc.)
- Maintain an up to date plan for continuous improvement
- Participate on both Enterprise as well as Management sponsored teams
- Actively support and enforce the plant's HSE standards
- Actively support and promote continuous improving performance standards
- Manage Your area or Responsibility
- Participate on the Hammond Management Team any required Enterprise Teams
- Develop Subordinates
- Support Management Team initiates and help drive change
- Provide miscellaneous leadership such as rotating duty superintendent, Supervisor Safety Meetings and so forth.
Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall HSE performance for the Maintenance department
- Responsible for the compliance to all regulatory requirements
- Conduct periodic department safety meetings.
- Adhere to & administer the Supervisor s Performance Standards
- Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance employees are properly trained in all plant activities (HAZWOPER, Skills certifications, process overview, etc.)
- Motivate employees to maintain HSE as #1 priority.
- Responsible for providing training of new department members in the following:
- Policies and procedures (PPE, operating manuals)
- Monitoring of implementation of HSE activities and follow-up and correction of discrepancies
- Participation in risk assessment audits (PHA, CTA, JSA, etc.) as applicable.
- Incident investigations and corrective measures
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced education preferred.
- 7-15 years of advanced Maintenance/Storeroom leadership
Specific Job Requirements
- Must be knowledgeable on maintenance best practices
- Must be knowledgeable on Storeroom best practices
- Must be knowledgeable in basic accounting & budgeting fundamentals
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
- Must be proficient with all applicable computer systems (MS Office, etc.)
- Must be aware of applicable regulatory requirements.
