We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager (Engineer/Geologist) toserve our West Coast Business Unit projects and clients. This is a full-time hybrid position is based out of our Walnut Creek, Oakland, or San Jose, CA (Bay Area) office locations.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Serve as a key member of the environmental group with the ability to step in and immediately managing Bay Area projects.
- Work collaboratively with a passionate team supporting a wide variety of clients with numerous challenging projects.
- Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.
- Be capable of managing financial and technical aspects of projects.
- Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
- Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client deliverables.
- Be effective in assigning and managing work.
- Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills to more junior level staff.
- Possess skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
- Direct environmental field observation and testing programs.
- Be able to effectively prepare recommendations for various remediation projects.
- Develop a working understanding of H&A's other consulting practice areas and actively support marketing other services to existing clients.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE - Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Geology
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant Bay Area (CA) environmental regulations experience, environmental investigation Phase 1 & 2 site assessment, understand remediation technologies, and site characterization environmental engineering construction support experience, including professional services consulting experience.
- Have CA professional registration PE/PG - or can get it within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient at writing, review, and editing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
- Ability to comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Handbook.

The salary range for this position in
Walnut Creek, CA is $110,000 - $135,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to ensure we are competitive in the current market.
