Job Details We are looking for an experienced Utility and Civil Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Acquire and track equipment and materials.
- Supervise and evaluate production.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, APMs and field staff.
- Customer follow up and ensure documentation is covered to protect our company and operations.
- Customer coordination for our work in place or future.
- Coordinate with estimating and the safety department.
- Monthly billing for all managed projects.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as construction project manager.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Project and Excel).
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software (Bluebeam, Revit and Cad are a plus).
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient writing and communication skills.
Work Experience
- Higher education not required.
- 3+ Years of experience
