Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Manager to join our team and oversee operations at our flagship heavy equipment service center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 30 technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.


The role is a linch pin for success on the companies road map and achieveemnt in the role will quickly progress to more senior positions in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Plan and schedule work assignments to optimize productivity and meet customer deadlines.
  • Monitor workflow and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of jobs and maximize shop efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including parts procurement, customer service, and sales, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering parts and supplies, tracking inventory levels, and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies for business growth and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within the heavy equipment service industry. The role will suit shop or service managers from the space.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment repair and maintenance processes.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
