Job Title: Component Technician I D Shift
Location: Huntsville, AL 35806
Compensation: $34.16 per hour
Schedule: Friday to Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM
Responsibilities:
- Clean and passivate hardware using solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment.
- Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and maintain chemical systems.
- Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods.
- Package hardware and supplies for storage or shipment following strict standards.
- Perform shop-level maintenance and calibration of equipment, including pumps, tanks, filtration systems, and scales.
- Conduct general housekeeping of lab and clean room areas to maintain cleanliness and order.
- Adhere to safety regulations, including wearing protective eyewear, steel-toe boots, and other personal protective equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to solve problems and drive to resolve technical issues.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and use lifting equipment for heavier hardware.
- Initiative, strong work ethic, and adherence to directions and expectations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to use software systems and Microsoft Office Suite effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in precision cleaning of aerospace, medical, or other precision components.
- Experience inspecting aerospace mechanical components or fluid systems.
- Experience with applying coatings to aerospace components.
