We are working with an established building products manufacturing company based in Raleigh, NC. They are recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team on Dayshift (Mon-Fri) in return for a salary in the region of $100,000 - $125,000 depending on experience, along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental.
Duties as an Operations Manager:
- Accountable for the overall production, delivery, inventory control, and maintenance of equipment
- Oversees the development and implementation of inventory control programs to meet location inventory levels and turns
- Motivates employees, maintains a productive workforce, and trains successor management
- Reviews and approves wage and salary increases and establishes objectives and performance measures
- Recommends capital improvements in view of forecasted demand for various products, efficiency of current equipment
- Institutes a cost-effective vehicle and equipment maintenance program
- Reports obsolete equipment/facilities and submits recommendations regarding replacements or improvements
- Supports and reinforces company safety initiatives to ensure compliance with all OSHA and DOT requirements
- Communicates and enforces company policies and procedures as they pertain to the daily functions of all departments
- Acts as a liaison between employees and management to foster a healthy work environment
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Five years related managerial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have prior experience in manufacturing or construction management industry
