Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to to serve on an Agile Software team performing

feature updates for a metrics and monitoring system, including a central health and status dashboard. The selected SWE3 will

work with a team of System Engineers and Software Developers to implement viable solutions and demonstrate capabilities

delivered into the system. Work will require coordinating status across various data sources and alerting based on events,

metrics, and reports.

  • Supports, integrates, scales, documents, and secures all aspects of the virtual compute and container application
  • Create a lightweight version of application to function on a limited resource server
  • Produce a version of the application to be shareable to US partners.
  • Works with developers to ensure compliance with optimal integration
  • Ensures DevOps policies are integrated throughout the stack
  • Conducts assessments to ensure the platforms meet required performance specifications
  • Provide data transport interface and message schema where necessary (RESTful API).
  • Containerizes key applications identified by mission lead
Additional Information:
  • Seven person team
  • Work performed in the contractor facility in Annapolis Junction.
  • Both low and high side access.
Qualification Requirements:

Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's

degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of

additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Java full stack development
  • Experience with ElasticStack: ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana
  • Familiarity with GIT
Desired Skills
  • Experience with REST architectures
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of software development and management products (Confluence and Jira)
  • Experience with Groovy
  • Experience with Maven

  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
  • Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints;
  • Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces
  • Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering
