Job Title: Entry Level Wireless Network Technician


Overview: We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Entry Level Wireless Network Technician to bolster our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in wireless networking, coupled with the ability to conduct site surveys, manage cabling, and execute Access Point (AP) installations at client locations. This role entails regular local travel and occasional air travel to accommodate client needs. The chosen candidate will have access to specialized training to hone their wireless networking expertise and progress within the company.


Responsibilities:


-Conduct site surveys and execute installations of cabling and Access Points (APs) at client sites in adherence to specifications and industry standards.

-Troubleshoot wireless connectivity issues and provide fundamental network support.

-Assist in configuring and deploying network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.

-Collaborate closely with senior technicians and engineers to ensure smooth project execution.

-Maintain meticulous documentation of installations, configurations, and troubleshooting methodologies.

-Deliver exceptional customer service and assistance during on-site engagements.

Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines during work at client sites.


Requirements:


-High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or educational background is a plus.

-Basic grasp of wireless networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).

-Experience in executing cabling installations and terminations (Ethernet, fiber optic, etc.).

-Familiarity with Access Point (AP) installations and configurations.

-Willingness to engage in frequent local travel and occasional air travel (50-75% travel commitment).

-Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

-Openness to learning and adapting to emerging technologies and methodologies.

-Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.


Preferred Qualifications:


-Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalents.

-Prior experience in technical support or field service roles.

-Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (Wireshark, SNMP, etc.).

-Background in wireless networking technologies (802.11 standards, WLAN controllers, etc.).
