a Very fast growing MSP looking for a Level 1 Computer/Network Tech. No College Degree or Certs Needed. Ability to be a fast learner and always try to figure issues out on your own first . This role requires you to be timely, detail oriented, and flexible with hours worked. You will need to note what you did on a ticketing system. Our office hours are 8:30AM-5:30PM Monday through Fridays. Closed Sat,Sun, and Major US Holidays. Some weekend and evening work may be needed but you will be compensated very well for it. YOU MUST LIVE NEAR THE SCRANTON/WILKES BARRE AREA and willing to travel an hour one way to a customers site(s).
Responsibilities
We are a IT MSP with a web/email hosting division. Our customer base on the MSP side is approaching 100. Our hosting division is responsible for the up keep of the hosting infrastructure 24x7 . If the candidate can show strong knowledge in Linux and has a strong understanding of how Domain/DNS/Email functionson the lower level of the OSI Model. This would be a huge plus. Most customers are located in the Wilkes Barre /Scranton Are. At first, the candidate would be traveling from site to site fixing common issues. Examples: Setting up new gear, installing software, possibly short easy wire runs withe ability to terminate. Easily taught if needed This is a dynamic and fast moving job. There is down time but always something to do.

This will start off as a 1099 No insurance position. Approximately 20 hours needed a first but may turn into 40 for second week working for us. We are a little over a year old and have grown much faster then expected. A laptop and tools needed will be supplied. We have VoIP phone system and you will install the app on your phone for company use.
Qualifications
Customer Service - No one knows everything but you will need the ability to communicate to the customers status up dates and keep them informed. Be a good talker. Google or other search engines can be your best friend when researching or learning something new.
- Computer Break/fix work experience a must. Networking knowledge a huge +. Office 365 Knowledge is needed but easily learned if needed. Server operating systems knowledge a plus, Core networking knowledge a plus but not required. Wire punch downs and terminations, easily taught if needed. We will teach and train. We will not throw you into live customer situations that you don't have the experience or knowledge to handle. Must have a valid driver's license to travel in PA. Must be able to pass a drug screen. Quick learning ability and problem solving skills are the most important to me as the owner. Your ability to think quickly,be a problem solver, and good with people is a huge part of this role.
