Summary/Objective
This Logistics Coordinator role requires a motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of logistics principles and operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage logistics activities to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials.
Responsibilities
Coordinate & document transportation, including scheduling and tracking of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Communicate with vendors and contractors to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise.
Responding to contractor inquiries and referring questions to the proper channels.
Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
Accurate tracking of internal & contracted technical teams related to installation and service dispatch locations.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics activities.
Preparing bills and invoices.
Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Plan, track and document the shipment of final products according to client requirements
Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency in logistics operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination of logistics activities.
Provide timely and accurate reports for upper management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field OR comparable experience in similar role of more than 3 years.
Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations, inventory management principles, and logistics software systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software applications.
