Job Details

Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is now accepting resumes for a Registered Nurse as the Lead Head Nurse at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in Rockville, Maryland. This comprehensive, ready to operate, health and wellness services program assists approximately 2,900 employees.


The RN must at least 5 years professional nursing experience; three (3) years of experience in occupational health including assisting/counseling employees and organizing health education/special programs and one (1) year in a supervisory position.


Schedule can be four (4) 10-hour days or five (5) eight-hour days.


Registered Nurse must have knowledge of the latest nursing principles, procedures, and applications in the occupational health setting; knowledge of disease and illness symptoms for purposes of determining treatment; and experience in dealing with employees having physical, emotional, or mental problems.


Administering immunizations, inoculations, medications, and emergency care for illness and injury of occupational origin; counseling employees on various health subjects; maintaining records and writing reports of activities; assuring orderliness and sanitation; maintaining supplies and equipment; and performing routine office maintenance of medical equipment.


Experience utilizing specified medical equipment, including positive pressure oxygen equipment and resuscitators; and shall possess knowledge of splint application; and ability to use an automatic external defibrillator as necessary in emergency situations.


Experience in the management and supervision of the day-to- day operation of an occupational health center.


Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results.


Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.


Participates in maintaining safe work environment by sharing and participating in all safety related meetings, training, etc.


Ensures adherence to all company safety rules and SOPs in area of responsibility.


Rectifies unsafe actions and/or conditions immediately.


Self-motivated with minimal oversight.

Computer skills including Microsoft Office.


Some travel may be required.


Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.


Education/Experience

Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) with an Associate s Degree in Nursing OR Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Registered to practice in the State of Maryland.
