The Storeroom Attendant is responsible to receive, store, inventory and distribute Food and Kitchen supplies. Will clean and maintain sanitary conditions according to standards of the department. Will maintain inventory controls.QualificationsQualifications

Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)

Minimum Work Experience2 years Food service experience in storage, receiving and inventory control process (Required) Or4 years Food handling experience (Required)

Required Skills/KnowledgeThe ability to work harmoniously with a variety of people.Must show courtesy and tact, confidentiality and reasonable speed in performance of duties.Basic calculations (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).Knowledge of HACCP controls for receiving. food quality standards and receiving criteria.Basic keyboard skills required.Ability to lift/push weights up to 50 lbs.Demonstrates a positive approach while interacting with all customers.Demonstrates ability to use all channels of communication to address issues or concerns as observed by supervisor .Demonstrates cooperative relationship with other areas and departments.Demonstrates integrity and honesty in relationships with customers including vendors.Demonstrates effective time management by completing assignments within a target time.Demonstrates ability to operate all equipment used in a safe and responsive manner .Demonstrates knowledge of safety procedures and practices in work area as indicated by lack of incident or injury.Demonstrates ability to process approved food/supplies orders utilizing department computer system as assigned.

Required Licenses and CertificationsDC Food Operators license (Preferred) Serve-saf certified (Preferred)

Functional AccountabilitiesSanitation and SafetyMaintain department, hospital and regulatory agency sanitation standards.Maintain sanitation standards for all storage areas including dry storage, refrigerated and freezer storage.Complete special cleaning assignment within target time.Dispose of trash and obvious clutter as needed.Restock food and supplies neatly and safely using FIFO according to department standards.Follow established food handling practices according to department standards to maintain sanitation and infection controlEquipment SafetyReport any malfunction of equipment to supervisor immediately.Label/lock out, tag out any equipment not in good working order, properly .Record KeepingMaintain vendor compliance logbook.Verify vendor delivery ticket, make appropriate adjustments, recalculate total and signs.Maintain accurate inventory records.Print purchase orders at time of processing as assigned.Receiving and StorageCheck, count and receive items according to invoice, accurately.Document all variations in invoice and communicate finding to production manager and/or AFSD.Receive and store food items using HACCP controls and according to food quality standards.Store and rotate items using FIFO techniques.Maintain security procedures in all storerooms.InventoryComplete weekly and End of Month inventory.Review inventory with production manager/AFSD.Report all variance in inventory immediately.Time and AttendanceReport to work area in proper attire and on time as scheduled.Comply with department time and attendance policy and procedure.Return from breaks on timeProductivity and Cost EffectivenessNotify supervisor of workload status and availability for additional assignments or need additional assistance.Perform other duties as assigned
