A Multifamily General Contractor in Michigan is looking to add a Superintendent to the team. Over the last 30 years, they've established themselves as a premier GC for Multifamily, Affordable Housing, and Senior Living Projects and are facing a record backlog through 2025. The ideal candidate will have Multifamily Construction experience and the ability to travel to Projects throughout Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to maintain project schedule and budget, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve design discrepancies, change orders, and other construction-related challenges promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of daily activities, including work progress, materials deliveries, and manpower utilization.
- Facilitate regular meetings with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and inspectors, to communicate project status, milestones, and upcoming activities
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site, in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Construction field experience
- 3+ years of working at a General Contractor
- Experience with Multifamily Construction
- Experience working on construction projects valued at $8M or more
- OSHA certification preferred
- Ability to travel throughout Michigan
