Trader Assistant
Join our client, a global leader in Food Supply Management and Export Logistics spanning 70+ countries. As a Trader Assistant, you'll provide crucial support to our traders while nurturing relationships with vital stakeholders. This is a hybrid position, requiring time in their Atlanta office 3-days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare costing and ensure accurate completion of transaction details
- Maintain up-to-date records of shipments, order arrivals, and communication related to orders
- Ensure acquisition of all necessary documentation for orders
- Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery and communicate any changes to both traders and customers
- Verify order accuracy, adherence to shipping schedules, and keep pricing updated to seek competitive freight rates
- Maintain records of all supplier communication regarding purchases
- Stay informed about active markets, understand relevant market cycles, and identify new opportunities in both customer and supplier networks
- Cultivate trusting relationships with assigned customers and suppliers
Requirements:
- English communication skills; proficiency in a second language is advantageous, but not required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding of logistics and import/export documentation
- Proficiency in cost estimation for offers
- Strong grasp of documentation and logistics responsibilities
- Ability to work well in a team
