Remote Mon and Friday.This internship does not qualify for Visa SponsorshipMonday, June 17 start and Friday, August 23 end date.JOB MISSION:The Global Consumer Insights & Analytics team is responsible for delivering best-in-class consumer insights & analytics to inform key global go-to-market decisions. As the Data Science Intern, you will be responsible for translating data to derive meaningful information and discover unseen patterns for decision-making. Over the course of 10-weeks, you will lead the discovery, analysis, & implementation of data science & AI at an end-to-end scale to transform the way NB does business. In addition, you will be a part of NB's quest to become the most advanced, consumer-obsessed, and future-focused athletic footwear and apparel company in the world.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:* Predictive analytics leveraging first-party consumer data & site analytics.* Own data science and/or generative AI projects from end to end.* Translate data into actionable insights through descriptive & predictive analytics.* Provide strategic insights-based recommendations.* Communicate progress & findings with stakeholders.REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:* Working towards MS or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.* Demonstrated knowledge and skills across data science methods & algorithms including classification, regression, association rule learning, clustering, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, and neural networks.* Experience working with streaming data, particularly site analytics, is a plus.* Knowledge in leveraging advanced large language models and computer vision techniques, particularly for image-based applications is a plus.* 2+ years of experience using various statistical programming languages: Python, R, SQL, etc.* 2+ years of experience using data visualization/BI tools: PowerBI, Tableau, etc.* Experience using ML engineering tools is a plus: Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, etc.* Ability to create innovative analytical solutions to deliver strategic insights.* Highly effective communication skills.Regular Associate BenefitsOur products are only as good as the people we hire, so we make sure to hire the best and treat them accordingly.
