Responsibilities:
The Lease Operator reports to the Production Foreman. The primary purpose for this position is to maintain optimum production from assigned wells, perform required repairs and maintenance, and record meter/gauge readings on a regular basis. Special focus will be placed on:

• Maintains the production rate throughout the system
• Performs daily operational checks of assigned wells and production facilities.
• Ensures that safety devices are operational
• Tests wells to determine production rates and problems.
• Monitors equipment repairs.
• Performs housekeeping and basic maintenance of well-site duties.
• Operates and maintains central production treatment/storage/compression facilities and the operation and maintenance of water injection pumps, related equipment, and various utility support systems including oilfield boilers, centrifugal de-sanders and chemical injection equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 - 4 years of related oil and gas production experience.
• General knowledge of well operations, including general maintenance practices
• Ability to operate independently and manage time
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools, as well as lawn equipment
• Must possess valid drivers license

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Able to walk, step, climb or otherwise move from one location on the job site to another.
• Able to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, climb and sit.
• Visually seeing driving operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
• Able to repetitively move feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work.
• Able to work at elevated heights.
• Able to lift 50lb or more objects occasionally.
• Able to carry 50lb or more objects occasionally.
• Able to adapt to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to work in various weather and well site conditions.
• Willingness and ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
