Job Details

Smith Optics is looking for an Independent, Outside Territory Sales Representative in the state of Texas. This person will be responsible for achieving sales growth and profit goals in the territory for the Smith brand portfolio. This position is remote, with the ideal candidate located within the geography described above.


Successful prior experience in sales, as well as the ability to prioritize projects and superb organizational skills will be essential in this role.


Scope Of Responsibilities

  • The outside sales rep will be responsible for servicing and selling in the Smith portfolio including Smith, Suncloud and Blenders
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve growth and monthly sales goals
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers
  • Conduct in person service calls, clinics and retailer events
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market developments to identify opportunity for growth
  • Work with management and customer service to optimize sales strategies and achieve the overall company objectives


Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in sales, with a minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience
  • Candidate must live in the territory and be comfortable with windshield time
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on building long term relationships
  • Proven ability to independently manage a large scale territory
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral & written communication planning and time management skills
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track and manage customer interactions
  • A true road warrior
