Position Summary

The position is responsible for program and project management for the North American Modern Building Alliance (NAMBA) team, including all associated projects and advocacy priorities, external stakeholder and member communications, and policy planning. The position is also responsible for overseeing invoices, contracts, membership dues, as well as budget monitoring and meeting support for Durable Markets Advocacy Team workstreams. The position is further responsible for supporting/managing the Foam Sheathing Committee (FSC) activities and/or other activities as required within the Durable Markets Advocacy Team. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Durable Markets Advocacy.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Plans and manages member meetings, including developing agendas, meeting materials, drafting meeting records, as well as tracking action items and projects.

Manages member relationships, as well as helping develop consensus with outside stakeholder groups.

Manages critical workstreams, projects, member meetings, contractors, vendors, consultants, partnerships, and relationships advancing sustainable durable plastic solutions.

Assists with drafting testimony and public comments, monitors policymaking meetings, and drafts other documents in support of state and federal advocacy and lobbying objectives.

Monitors state and federal legislation and policy proposals on relevant priority issues before policymakers and other stakeholder groups.

Advances member relationships and actively promotes membership growth and retention for Durable Markets Advocacy teams.

Represents, as needed, ACC Plastics Division Durable Markets Team before a broad range of key outside stakeholders at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Requirements

Required

Bachelor s Degree.

Three years experience within a business, trade, government, political or policy advocacy organization.

Exceptional project management, written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Initiative-taking, with ability to independently lead a variety of complex matters confidently.

Ability to prioritize key projects and responsibilities while leading and managing multiple and competing priorities, projects, stakeholders, and member requests.

Ability to cultivate, manage and leverage high quality stakeholder relationships for successful outcomes.

Experience with regulatory and legislative processes.

Ability to travel domestically.


Preferred

Developing and writing comments, position papers and/or other written responses to government initiated public policy positions.

An interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and building construction.

Demonstrated experience working on challenging issues with diverse stakeholders.
