Responsibilities
- Efficiently creating routes and dispatching drivers to maximize efficiency and multiloading
- Engaging in communication with insurance providers, facilities, and clients to handle trip acceptance, rejection, and cancellations
- Serving as the primary contact point for both drivers and clients
- Proactively planning the next day's trips by organizing a daily trip manifest in advance
- Delegating office responsibilities and providing assistance to the team as needed
- Handling cross-training activities and other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dispatching, demonstrating a logistical mindset
- Ability to effectively manage various variables and factors while considering outcomes such as the type of van, number of drivers, driving time, and time off
- Proficient in digital, phone, and written communication skills, handling a high volume of calls (100+ calls a day)
- Intimate knowledge of the Richmond metro area, including zip codes, streets, and regions
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing, high-level priorities, and thrive in periods of high workload and stress
Hours: 5:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday-Friday (potential to work weekends)
