Golder has a new opportunity for a **Samples Custodian** to join our **Business Operations Support** team on a **full-time** basis based in **our South Burnaby location**
**An overview of your role will include:**
* Logging new samples into a computer database;
* Completing chain of custody forms as required;
* Conducting monthly sample disposal reviews;
* Communicating with Project Managers and field technicians;
* Generating reports related to samples;
* Physical sample disposal;
* Keeping sample records current;
* Performing sample inventory;
* Adhering to Health &Safety practices and procedures.
**Qualifications**
**You will have a background in:**
* Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and punctuality;
* Previous experience with inventory software;
* Proficiency with Microsoft word and excel;
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required;
* Excellent record-keeping and data entry skills;
* Willingness to learn additional warehouse tasks as necessary;
* Proven knowledge of warehouse Health & Safety procedures;
* Previous experience with handling dangerous goods and using appropriate PPE;
* Previous forklift experience with valid certification;
* Minimum two years previous warehouse experience;
* Ability to lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly;
* Valid class 5 Canadian drivers license (driver abstract required);
* High school education or technical related background.
