Job Details

Position Summary: The Cook prepares meals and follows established recipes. Duties include preparing and cooking ingredients, adhering to the menu and following food health and safety procedures. The Cook also cleans and assists other kitchen staff to deliver high quality food items in a fast-paced environment.

MUST have Valid/Active Food Handler Certification

MUST have Valid unexpired Identification to work in the United States

Must have 2+ years experience in the Culinary field (Restaurant industry preferred).

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Commitment to excellence in food preparation and presentation
  • Maintain a professional restaurant image, including superior sanitation and cleanliness controls.
  • Comply with statutory and company requirements for health and safety
  • Measure, prep, assemble and cook ingredients for menu items
  • Prepare equipment, such as ovens, grills and utensils, for shift
  • Handle multiple food orders at one time
  • Monitor orders and ensure each guest has the correct food and sides
  • Deliver food to wait staff in a timely manner
  • Assist other cooks and kitchen staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate food inventories
  • Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Clean and restock work areas, sanitize equipment and utensils
  • Ensure the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with employees and management
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use POS systems
  • Must have, and maintain, a New Mexico Food Handler permit
  • Ability to arrive on-time and work shifts as scheduled
  • Hours may vary and you must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages and use hazardous equipment
