Background & Purpose of the JobThis position works out of our Chicago, IL location where we produce Hellmann s Mayonnaise. Reporting into the Head of Manufacturing (Factory Director), this role is responsible for managing the logistics coordinators across a 24/7 schedule managing all site inbounds, site outbounds, material accuracy and availability, and 3rd party contractors impacting site logistics (yard management and near-site warehouse). This role will provide leadership all logistics coordinators and collaborate with factory senior leadership team to deliver business goals.
Who You Are & What You ll DoThe Logistics Lead will be the focal point to all other functional areas within Logistics and SC Planning including Warehousing, Transportation, Deployment, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Logistics Finance.
Responsibilities:Maintain safe systems of work within your team.
Managing the performance and development of 6 salary logistics coordinators and 3 hourly oil-shed operators.
Drive leadership through people management, discipline, development, promotions, and motivation within a changing environment.
Responsible for logistics related R&M, material ordering for site specific materials, and management of all material goods that go into the manufacturing process, including PO management and investigation, STO investigation, finished goods reconciliation, cycle counts, etc.
All other responsibilities as assigned.
What You ll Need To SucceedBachelor s degree with at least 4 years of experience in Planning or related experience with a clear competence in Deployment Planning, SC Planning, and/or Customer Service.
Strong understanding of Transportation and Warehousing.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills.
SAP experience is preferred.
Experience You Will ReceiveIn this role, you will not just work within the four walls of the factory, but you will also be exposed to cross-functional teams across the supply chain and broader business.Some other great experiences you ll learn may include (and more):Partner with Transportation and Deployment on shipping and deployment strategies.
Partner with Planning on all material inbounds and finished goods outbounds.
Gain knowledge on the end-to-end supply chain process for Hellmann's Mayonnaise.
Create a network of amazingly talented individuals both inside the factory and within the Unilever network.
Pay:
The pay range for this position is $84,400 to $126,600. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus:
This position is bonus eligible.Long-Term Incentive (LTI):
This position is LTI eligible.
