Job Description Summary:
This Senior Data Analyst will work with a progressive research team providing statistical support and consultation in the areas of data management and quality control, clinical trial design and statistical analysis for a division research team. In this position, the Data Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of statistical analysis and reports for various clinical studies, manuscripts, and grants, as well as, the management of large clinical datasets.

Job Description:
Required Qualifications

Education:
Master's degree in Biostatistics/Statistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Psychometrics, or Health Outcomes Research.

Work Experience :
Minimum two (2) years of related work experience.

Experience with principal and advanced statistical methods.

Experience working with large datasets (clinical data considered a plus).

Experience working with SAS.

Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

Education :
PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Psychometrics, or Health Outcomes Research .

Work Experience :
Proficiency in advanced analytical theories, predictive modeling, data mining, and data extraction.

Experience in clinical and health services research.

Evidence of scholarship in related field.

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting and/or team.

Experience using STATA, R and SPSS statistical software.

Skills :
Effectively communicate statistical methods and results.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Flexibility and adaptability to work under tight deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality .

Job Duties:
Provide biostatistical consultative service to investigators on clinical database, quality control, trial design and statistical analysis plans.
Analyze clinical trial data and large datasets for faculty and investigators.

Work with a team to provide support on research data management, quality control and analysis.

Extract significance and implication from data analysis and clinical databases.

Effectively communicate study findings and interpretations to investigators.

Perform additional data analysis and related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Assist with publication and dissemination of research findings to the public and professional societies.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
