Clean Utility Maintenance Technician

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts

Shift: 1st shift Sun-Wed (7AM 5PM or 6PM 4PM can be flexible) 5% differential

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000


The Role

  • As a Senior Clean Utilities Technician in the pharmaceutical industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of clean utilities systems within the manufacturing facility. You will bring extensive knowledge and expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various utility systems, including but not limited to purified water systems, HVAC systems and clean steam systems. You will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.


Here s What You ll Do

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of clean utilities systems to ensure their optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular inspections of utility systems, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for clean utilities systems.
  • Monitor and analyze utility system performance data, identify trends, and propose efficiency improvements or system upgrades.
  • Respond promptly to utility system alarms or equipment failures, diagnose the root cause, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and calibration records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and execution of validation protocols for clean utilities systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians, assisting in their training and development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
  • Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time


Here s What You ll Bring to the Table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is preferred.
  • Military training equivalent of above is acceptable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting clean utilities systems in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated environment.
  • PREFERRED SKILLS - In-depth knowledge of utility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
