Position Summary: Responsible for tasks related to finance and accounting for non profits including journal entries, balancing, audits, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Reports To: Sr Staff Accountant
Company Services: 4th Sector Solutions provides shared services, including financial management and reporting, operations, start-up, human resources management and foodservice administration to charter schools and education non-profits currently in Louisiana, New York, Washington DC and Texas.

Hours: Approximately 8-20 hours/week; flexible depending on availability; possibly full-time during the summer.
Job Description:
4SS is looking for a self-starter that works well in a fast-paced, high stakes team environment who is interested in accounting, finance, or non-profit management to be responsible for supporting the finance and accounting duties and projects for charter school clients.
- analysis of school budgets.
- of budgets for charter school applications (Fall/Winter).
- data entry and bank reconciliation.
- client meetings.
- Maintain files, including filing of accounts payable documentations and other miscellaneous filing.
- Assist with annual audit and meeting other statutory requirements (Summer).
- Complete special projects as assigned by Accounting and Finance Director or CFO.
Qualifications:
- or Graduate Student in a finance, accounting, public/non-profit management program or related field
- or Senior classification, if Undergraduate Student
- of 3.0 GPA
- have experience working with Microsoft Excel
- with QuickBooks preferred
