About the Role

The Sales Development Leader is responsible for delivering results in the acquisition of new partners and customers while leading a stellar group of SDRs. The SDR leader will champion the development and execution of robust enablement and onboarding programs that empower a metrics-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. This leader establishes a strong culture of activity-based performance and fosters a results-oriented environment. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and motivational leadership skills.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver Results for creating and driving Sales Qualified Leads and all SDR metrics, including but not limited to appointment setting, discovery, call, and email activity, and ultimately influencing and focusing on the new logo wins for Todyl.


Enablement and Onboarding Excellence:

  • Design and continuously improve comprehensive onboarding programs for new SDR hires, ensuring rapid knowledge acquisition and optimal time-to-productivity.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing sales training, covering product knowledge, industry expertise, sales methodologies, and tools proficiency.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to create or develop enablement resources (playbooks, call scripts, presentations, etc.) that enhance SDR effectiveness.


Metrics-Driven Team Management:

  • Establish clear KPIs (key performance indicators) that track SDR activities (e.g., calls, emails, demos scheduled) as well as outcome metrics (e.g., qualified leads, conversion rates).
  • Implement systems and processes for rigorous performance tracking, reporting, and analysis.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement, coach SDRs, and implement strategies to increase lead generation and qualification success.


Activity and Results-Focused Culture:

  • Define and enforce high activity standards throughout the SDR team with an emphasis on quality outreach.
  • Foster a competitive but supportive environment that motivates SDRs to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Celebrate successes publicly to reinforce positive behaviors and drive a high-performance culture.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner closely with marketing to ensure seamless alignment between lead generation campaigns and SDR follow-up activities.
  • Work collaboratively with sales leadership to optimize handoffs to Account Executives, ensuring a smooth transition of qualified leads.
  • Provide insights from SDR activities to inform product development, market research, and strategic business decisions.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the cybersecurity industry (or a demonstrable aptitude for rapidly learning the cybersecurity sector).
  • Proven track record of successfully building, managing, and motivating high-performing SDR teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales methodologies, lead qualification frameworks, and cybersecurity sales cycles.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and coaching abilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills for tracking and interpreting performance metrics.
  • Ability to inspire and lead through influence in a fast-paced environment.
