Job Type Full-timeDescriptionWorkday: Tuesday - Saturday Work Hours: (2:00PM - 10:00PM) Location: 919 Mission Road, San Antonio, TX 78210 Mission: The Mission of St. PJ's Children's Home is to be a safe and loving refuge for children in crisis and to accompany them on their journey to healing and wholeness, breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect one child at a time. Summary:Under the guidance of the Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Manager, the Security Monitor is primarily responsible for the review of camera footage and day-to-day interactions between staff and child, child and child, and staff and staff. The Security Monitor is continuously observing interactions and routines to find deviations in routines and/or policy and procedure. The Security Monitor will alert program management to high-risk situations and help identify ways to mitigate risk based on observations. The Security Monitor has no supervisory responsibilities and reports directly to the PSA Compliance Manager.Position Responsibilities:* Monitoring camera footage daily.* Conducting walk-throughs of the program buildings to observe interactions of children and staff.* Assisting with incident management (i.e. directing emergency care services, downloading and saving video footage, etc.)* Running daily security check point system reports and identifying trends and patterns as well as deviations. * Documenting shift activity in a daily report submitted to PSA Compliance Manager, Assistant Program Director, Program Director and Senior Director of Emergency Services.Completing end-of-shift security checks of windows and doors with PM and Overnight staff.Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others. Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization. Other duties as assigned by Program Director, Senior Director of Emergency Services or Vice-President of Programs.Competencies:AdvocacyCritical ThinkingDe-escalation Attention to DetailTeamworkRequirementsMinimum Qualifications: Able to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route if working directly with unaccompanied children.o Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from healthcare provider verifying previous infection. o MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least 4 weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseaseso DTaP or DTap: Complete primary vaccination series. If primary vaccination series completed in childhood, one DTaP dose in adulthood.o Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.EducationMinimum High School Diploma or equivalent.ExperienceMinimum of one-year experience working with children in a child welfare setting; experience working with compliance, best practices and minimum standards preferred.
