Description
Duties and Responsiblities
- Picks up refuse cans from houses or business establishments and dumps into trucks and operates packer equipment
- Cleans area around cans
- Directs traffic and guides truck operator in congested areas
- Cleans refuse truck and equipment
Requirements - Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, etc.
Required Physical Activities: Continuous heavy manual work at a rapid pace. Requires moderate physical effort working regularly with light weight materials and occasionally with heavy weight materials (over 60 pounds) including but not limited to walking, talking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, hoisted, pushing, and pulling.
